Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring compliance with recipes, portion control, presentation, and hygiene standards. Manage and train kitchen staff, supervise inventory and food supply orders while controlling costs, maintain kitchen equipment, minimize waste and theft, and perform additional duties as assigned by the Head or Executive Chef.
Description
• Ensure compliance and quality assurance to recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the company. • Supervise and manage kitchen helper. • Order and manage inventory of food supplies for daily operations usage, ensuring availability while controlling costs. • Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, presentation standards, and kitchen protocols. • Conduct regular maintenance checks on kitchen appliances and equipment to prevent unexpected malfunctions. • Ensure that all areas of the kitchen are clean and sanitized including kitchen equipment and utensils. • Ensure that all food is processed according to the corporate and government regulatory control in hygiene and sanitation standards. • Strictly adhere to minimize food and supply waste and theft. • Performs any other duties as directed by the Head Chef and/or Executive Chef.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of relevant kitchen experience.
- Passion for food and cooking, particularly in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Willingness to work shift hours, weekends, and public holidays
